In 2013 a small group of us got together with a simple aim. Disillusioned with the poor quality of high street food outlets we knew we could do something better. We hadn’t the financial acumen to take on the high street giants but we did have an idea. We decided to keep things simple and build from a solid foundation, We felt that pizza would be a good place to start and we looked into buying a portable oven, fortunately for us, that option proved too expensive. So we thought again, we did some research and decided to build ourselves an oven. The rocket stove at the heart of our oven has been a revelation to us, our research showed it to be a vital instrument in the third world helping impoverished peoples with meagre resources to safely cook food and boil water with minimal use of fuel, and we have adopted it for our use for the same ecological reasons. Our ovens regularly run for eight hours or more on less than half a drum of our coppiced kindling wood. This is far less than a ‘normal’ wood fired pizza oven (Forno Bravo Commercial Pizza ovens are quoted to run at around 15lbs per hour or 6.8 Kilos per hour).

Once the oven was built we knew we were onto something special, and now we had the means to offer our own take on the Italian classic. We make our Pizza our way, our dough tastes like no other, our sauce is unique and our toppings are how you want them. Keeping it simple means we make your Pizza the way you like it, and when we make it for you you will like it even more
